Avatar Awards in L4D2

I thought it would be a good idea to report on another big game coming in November besides Modern Warfare 2.Left 4 Dead 2 is going to be another big selling game for XBOX 360 users and it will be the latest game to support Avatar Awards.To those who don't know what that is,it's similar to an achievement but you get special clothes for your avatar to show off for completing certain tasks.So basically you get unique clothing items that you can't buy.I feel more games should take advantage of this feature,there has been a rumor about MW2 supporting this,but nothing confirmed.

If you don't want to be spoiled by any of this info then stop reading now.This news is really no surprise to me because I've read alot and watched alot of videos on this game but here it goes.Modern Warfare 2 will feature a 3rd person view playlist in multiplayer.IW has said that they don't plan on doing a full game with this view ,its only somethig different for the playlist.I guess I'll give it a shot,but I'm sure I'll stick to the first person view.

Facebook and Twitter on Xbox Live

Now that I've had time to check out Facebook and Twitter on the new Xbox Live update I can honestly say that it works great!!!The interface is really nice and they both work smoothly and anyone who uses these should be excited when the update hits in November,or maybe sooner(No official date has been released by Microsoft)Also worth checking out are Last FM and the Zune marketplace.One thing I like about the Zune marketplace is the ability to rent movies and stream them instantly like Netflix.Also Last FM has alot of different stations of music right there and again it streams instantly,no downloading.All of this is another example why Xbox Live is the best gaming and multi-media service available.

XBOX GAMING NEWS: UPDATED !!!

Today has been a slow day as far as gaming news.Nothing new and exciting happened,probably the only thing worth talking about is that Microsoft has pretty much confirmed a external Blu-Ray add on for the XBOX 360.I know a few people that purchased the HD DVD player for their 360's and they were happy with the quality that it put out so hopefully the Blu-Ray will be better.My only thought is how Microsoft worked out things with Sony to make this happen,I mean Sony did invent Blu-Ray.Will Microsoft have to pay royalty to Sony?I'm not sure if any games will be made on Blu-Ray,it will probably be just for movies,but who knows.That's all I have for now,Happy Gaming!! UPDATE:Microsoft's Major Nelson has since gone on the record to say that NO Blu-Ray drive will be coming to the XBOX 360.
